The Trump administration’s Transparency in Coverage (TiC) final rule amends some provisions of the original 2020 TiC rule relating to the data files insurers and plans are required to post publicly. The final rule intends to address three main challenges associated with the original 2020 TiC rule: inaccessibility of the required data files, ambiguity and lack of context associated with the data, and misalignment with the Hospital Price Transparency rules.
