CMS recently announced the Advancing Chronic Care with Effective, Scalable Solutions (ACCESS) Model to test a payment approach expanding access to health tech tools for the management of chronic conditions, and the FDA announced the Technology-Enabled Meaningful Patient Outcomes (TEMPO) for Digital Health Devices Pilot days later. These programs are intended to work together to enable Medicare beneficiaries to access digital health tools for conditions like hypertension, diabetes, chronic pain, and depression.
